ST. PAUL, October 2, 2007- Dr. Tafarrodi began her presentation for the Refugee Health Task Force by explaining the importance of developing culturally sensitive health education materials.  "I don't like the word 'translation'," she said.  "It's not enough... because peoples' conceptualization is different."  An immigrant herself, Dr. Tafarrodi understands this well.  She discussed the difficulties of creating publications in which the words are not just translated, but culturally modified.
