Jalila is a native of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is a Veterinary Resident at the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota. She is also a tutor at the University of Putra in Malaysia. Her field of study is surgery, radiology, and anesthesiology for avian (bird) species.
